Skip Schimpff, President and owner of Hearthside Homes, has lived and worked in San Antonio his entire life. He graduated from Trinity University in 1972 with a Bachelors of Business Administration. That same year, Skip began his San Antonio custom home building career as head of construction for a major San Antonio new homes firm.

Fifteen years later, in 1987, Hearthside Homes was born. Hearthside continues to thrive today, building quality custom homes that withstand the test of time. Skip brings over three decades of custom home building experience with him in addition to an unparalled knowledge of the Texas new homes and custom homes markets. He is driven to ensure that every Hearthside home achieves the pinnacle of quality, luxury, and value, and that every customer leaves not only satisfied, but delighted.

Virgil Seidel, Construction Manager for Hearthside Homes, has over 25 years of experience in building fine quality homes. Having worked in almost every sector of the new home construction industry, Virgil has helped build dreams for hundreds of San Antonio families over the years. For Virgil, building a quality custom home is not just a job. It's about taking raw materials - land, lumber, and labor - and working in a partnership with the home buyer to turn those raw materials into a perfect dream home.

Rita Schimpff has lived in San Antonio since she moved to the city with her family from Oklahoma in 1967. She has practiced various artistic disciplines privately since the age of 10, and has studied with such noted San Antonio artists as Warren Hunter, Carl Embry, and Reginald Rowe.

Rita graduated from Texas Christian University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Commercial Art and a minor in textile design and printing. She worked for a period of time as graphic designer for Lochman-Rose and Joske's Department Store in downtown San Antonio.

Rita began her Interior Decorating/Design career in 1977 working for a major San Antonio builder. Rita's skill and great personality have always appealed to customers, all of whom have enjoyed the benefits of working with one of San Antonio's premier design professionals. Rita joined Hearthside Homes when the company was founded in 1987, and today brings with her nearly 30 years of acclaimed Interior Design and Decorating experience.

Rachel Hoffer, Office Manager for Hearthside Homes, has lived and worked in the San Antonio area her entire life. She joined the Hearthside Team in 2001, and has since become an invaluable team member and an extremely knowledgeable new home construction professional. In addition to working with existing homeowners, Rachel ensures that the day to day operations of Hearthside Homes run smoothly, guaranteeing that every element needed for the new home process is in place and working correctly.
